Snow is a natural treasure that not every country possesses, yet the richness of Georgia is unimaginable. Sometimes overlooked by Georgia\u2019s sub-tropical gems, you just can\u2019t afford to miss out on its magnificence in winter. The main destinations are – Gudauri, Stepantsminda, and Svaneti \u2013 which deserves an article of its own. We\u2019ll discuss Gudauri and Stepantsminda together because they are both parts of The Kazbegi Municipality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Gudauri<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n
Gudauri is a small town dedicated to cozy hotels, ski resorts, breath-taking views, and fun times with friends. Still, want more? Well, for the adventurous and fearless there\u2019s paragliding! Fly like a Georgian eagle between the Southern Caucasus Mountains which range from 2000 to 3000 meters. After dominating the space between the mountains, it\u2019s time to conquer the mountains themselves! Gudauri is so fun, especially with friends and family. Although able to accommodate thousands of people, there are only 54 people permanently living there. It\u2019s made for a tourist\u2019s enjoyment of the beauty of this region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This place served as an inspiration to countless influential Georgian writers and poets. They would come to rest here and for hours observe the mysterious and beautiful Mount Kazbegi \u2013 the 5033-meter high Sleeping Giant, a dormant volcano that died thousands of years ago and turned into a glacier. While witnessing Kazbegi\u2019s greatness, it\u2019s hard to miss another masterpiece \u2013 Gergeti Holy Trinity Church – one of the highest churches in the world. Looking down at Stepantsminda from a height of 2200 meters! <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Travel north towards the Russian border and enjoy the stunning Gveleti waterfalls and while you there, don\u2019t forget to check out Dariali\u2019s amazing vast forest. Go South toward Gudauri to see Sno and Juta. Get yourself a horse and have a ride in Kazbegi National Park. Everybody deserves a pleasant, relaxing time with people that are close to you.
