As such, the program aims to provide quality instruction, advisory services, and student support to ensure students achieve their goals and gain the knowledge and experience required to succeed in the demanding field of Computer Science.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Program Educational Objectives:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The Program has the following Educational Objectives (PEOs):<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>PEO 1: Graduates have sufficient knowledge and skills in the field of computer science to perform on a high professional level to contribute to the advancement of both their professional community and broader society;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>PEO 2: Graduates are able to work autonomously and function efficiently in a team environment both as leaders and team members;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Main areas of study<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Basics of computer science;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Algorithms and modern programming technologies;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>System and network programming;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Data analysis;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Machine learning and artificial intelligence technologies;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cyber \u200b\u200bsecurity and ethics;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Database systems;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>&nbsp;Human-computer interaction;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Computer graphics;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Data visualization;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bioinformatics.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The program focuses on the development of transfer skills such as effective written and oral communication in at least one foreign language, which will contribute to the development of multicultural awareness among graduates and their success in the international arena.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Learning Outcomes and Competencies<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The program learning outcomes aim at equipping students with:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Analyze a complex computing problem and apply principles of computing and other relevant disciplines to identify solutions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Design, implement and evaluate a computing-based solution to meet a given set of computing requirements in the context of the program\u2019s discipline.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Communicate effectively in a variety of professional contexts.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Recognize professional responsibilities and make informed judgments in computing practice based on legal and ethical principles.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Function effectively as a member or leader of a team engaged in activities appropriate to the program\u2019s discipline.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">&nbsp;<strong>Teaching Methods<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Interactive lectures and seminars;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Active learning methods;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Analysis and synthesis method;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Problem-based learning;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Individual and group work;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Laboratory and practical work;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Brainstorming and reflection;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Projects.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Note: Specific teaching methods are identified for each program component and are listed in relevant syllabi<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Employment Opportunities:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Program students\/graduates may be employed in private, as well as in public and academic sectors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Professions where they can be employed:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Software Engineer<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Data Analysis Engineer<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Machine Learning Engineer<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mobile app developer<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Web Developer<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Database Administrator<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Computer Systems Analyst<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Researcher in the field of computer science<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Information Systems Manager<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Other<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Program Structure<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>All students admitted to the bachelor program are required to accumulate 240 ECTS to be awarded their Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Computer Science.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For National Accreditation considerations:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>8 Semesters, 240 ECTS (1 ECTS: 25 hours)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Free-elective Component: General Module &#8211;
